About us

Our Mission

Our mission is to create an environment for practicing veterinarians and recent graduates in which they can hone their skills and start their careers in general practice and emergency medicine. Our goal is to help you incorporate everything you learned in school with the training and experience you need to feel confident as you advance into a long-term position. Along with this, we value working in a family environment where we view our mentees as individuals and treat them as such.

Our State of the Art Hospitals

Our hospitals were founded by Dr. Davis Hall. Dr. Davis Hall graduated from Texas A and M veterinary school and then went into the Army Veterinary corps. After his service he worked as a mixed practice veterinarian. Dr. Davis Hall purchased Town and Country Animal Hospital in nearby Fairfax, VA, from his boss, and later built Columbia Pike Animal Hospital & Emergency Center. Our locations have not changed, but over the years Columbia Pike Animal Hospital has grown from a one doctor practice to a 24+ doctor, 24 hour GP and emergency practice with mentees.

About us 2

Town and Country is a general practice with 7+ doctors. We have many clients who have been with us for for 40 years and remember seeing Dr. Reed Hall, Dr. Davis Hall’s son, running around as a kid while his dad worked. Dr. Davis Hall still sees clients at both hospitals, but Dr Reed Hall now manages the hospitals and is a practicing veterinarian and hands on owner. Dr. Reed Hall is also the founder of our VetReady program. We are the largest privately owned and operated practice in Northern Virginia.

Our hospital is well equipped with a large staff, licensed veterinary technicians on all shifts, full in-house laboratory, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, state of the art GE ultrasound and ultrasonographers, oxygen cages, a CT machine, digital cytology, and a large pharmacy. We work with a traveling boarded surgeon and a traveling ultrasonographer/echocardiographer as needed. We also have several specialty clinics within a 30-minute drive for referral of cases when needed. We have undergone recent renovations to maintain and improve our buildings.

The DC metro area is fun to explore, with Washington DC about 15-20 minutes away by car or convenient public transportation. There are numerous free museums, monuments, parks, and an amazing variety of restaurants. This area is also great for exploring outdoors- there are several great biking/running trails in the area. The Shenandoah mountain region is about 90 minutes away and the Potomac river nearby is great for fishing/boating/watersports.
